Following the success of the competition held last year by the West Group, the Battalion held an enjoyable Junior Section Musician of the year competition. 8 Boys from 4 Companies took part.

   

Piano, violin, guitar, baritone horn and even 2 solo singers, with the judge Mrs Liz Mclaren having the envitable task of deciding the winner.

The winner Leighton Griffin, being presented with the JS Musician of the Year by Mrs Liz McLaren.
