50 current members and ex-members of Edinburgh, Leith and District Battalion attended a civic reception in Midlothian House on 22 January 2009. Representatives from all 5 Boys' Brigade Companies which operate within Midlothian Council boundary were represented at this event hosted by Provost Adam Montgomery, to celebrate the 125th Anniversary of the founding of the Boys' Brigade.
