Leaders & HelpersAll our adult leaders undergo Boys' Brigade training that is based on the National guidelines and standards. This is known as Youth Leader Training.
The aim of Youth Leader Training is to enable leaders to deliver the BB mission by equipping them with the skills, knowledge and attitudes to work effectively with children and young people. This includes modules in Child Protection, Safety, Emergency First Aid, Equal Opportunities, as well as training specifically aimed at the specific age group they will be working with. Further more specialised training can be undertaken when required in topics such as Holiday Leadership, Working with Challenging Behaviour and Captain's Training.
Edinburgh, Leith & District Battalion is committed to providing a safe environment for all those within our care and have procedures, all our adult volunteers are expected to adhere to. These include:
