125th AnniversaryTo celebrate the 125th Anniversary of the founding of the Boys' Brigade, the Battalion has held a number of special events.
A number of local Companies held Church Services on 5 October 2008 in order to mark the start of the 125th Anniversary celebrations. The City of Edinburgh Council hosted a Civic Reception in the City Chambers on 18 November 2008 for those working in Companies within the City of Edinburgh Council area. A carol service was held in St Mary's Cathedral, Palmerston Place on 8 December 2008, raising £375 for Childline. Midlothian Council hosted a Civic Reception in Midlothian House, Dalkeith on 22 January 2009 for those working in Companies in Midlothian Council area. A celebratory dinner for past and present members took place in the Royal Scots Club on 28 February 2009. 2 events took place at the Museum of Flight. On 14 March 2009 Anchor Boys visited the museum and on 9 May 2009 Junior Section Boys visited the museum. The final and biggest event held was a Battalion Fun Day on 7 June 2009 at Vogrie Country Park. 20 Companies representing 47 Sections with an overall total of 474 people taking part.
